Children’s Christmas comedy sequel Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger! Will be the next Autism Friendly Film, service provider Dimensions and cinema chain ODEON have announced.
Screenings of Nativity 2 will take place on Sunday, December 16 across more than 80 ODEON cinemas. The film will be screened at 11.30am and tickets will be available from 11am on Wednesday, December 12.
Nativity 2 sees teacher Mr Peterson (David Tennant) take his primary school to the ‘Song for Christmas’ competition and go head-to-head with his identical twin brother’s posh private school choir.
To get to the concert, they embark on a road trip but soon find that getting to the venue for the festive sing-off will be harder than they think.
Autism friendly screenings are mainstream films shown in a sensory friendly environment. Lights are on low, sound is turned down, trailers are omitted and people can bring their own food and drink, make noise and move around the cinema as they feel comfortable. The screenings are for anyone who would benefit from the subtle differences made to the cinema environment.
